Garden State

It was during one of those long days at home, enjoying my 4 months long vacation, that I chanced upon a movie at around 1 am in the night. It was my general browsing thru the channels that I came upon a familiar face in star movies. It was the lead actor in the popular TV series "Scrubs". I didnt know his name then and neither did I know which film it was, cos 1 am movies are not generally listed in the newspapers. At first it seemed like a b grade movie and was already some 15-20 min into the movie, but continued watching just bcos I liked the "Scrubs' Lead".

The unusual chemistry between the protagonists, their friends, the unforgettable dialogues, the subtle settings and the distinct style in which the story unfolded was a treat to watch. It just glued myself to the seat. Also the movie had some amazing soundtracks. The movie wasnt a big budget film, which can be made out from the movie's country-side settings and lack of any big name stars or visual effects.By the time the movie was nearing its end I knew that this was definitely gonna be one of my fav movies of all times.

After the movie ended, I tried to get the movie name from the post movie titles, but no luck. The only thing I could gather was the director of the film was a "Zach Braff" !!!
"Zach Braff": A definite clue. Thats all needed for a googler. ;) my search was on... One of the results showed "Emmy Nominee Zach Braff Lead Actor "Scrubs""..
What the *&* !!!! one more search was all it needed to confirm about this multi talented person. Also got the movie name : Garden State.
Zach Braff: Lead Actor, Writer and Director of Garden State and Lead Actor of Scrubs. And the movie had an imdb rating of 7.9 with arnd 58000 votes..WOW!!!

At that time my feelings were of someone hitting a jackpot or like someone uncovering a CSI case ;). It seems this was his pet project and initially producers were not very keen on financing him, because it seemed like a weak script. But finally it took off...Thank Goodness..!!! What a movie to accidentally chance upon :)

He had been nominated for three Golden Globes and an Emmy for his role as the scrubs doctor and also the "Garden State" had 10 wins & 24 nominations in various film festivals.
Today I watched one of my all time fav film and also Zach had made a new fan.

Waiting for more from him . . .

The Sky's Envelope

Here IT is, after a long 2 year uncertainty pondering on whether to start a blog or not. The thoughts started during my initial days at IIMC, when I was grueling through the treacherous MBA course, slogging my * out .At least thats what you are supposed to do in an MBA;) As usually said, The truth is stranger than fiction, so I managed to ease out of the normal course of an MBA that u r supposed to undergo. Simply put I scraped thru with the bare minimum grade points ;)

Anyways this is not about my 'daze' at Joka (IIMC), that maybe some other time. So where was I? Yeah...In the end, couldn't get myself to start it while doing my MBA. So here was my big moment of truth. I was starting my blog. Some years back, that was the in-thing. But the fact that a lazy bum like me, can get out of bed and started writing this blog, lay testament to the fact that almost everyone u know has now got a blog page on their own. Now the next thing to be decided was a name for my blog. Whatever I blog down will most pbly be some random thoughts and occurings, mostly sunny sometimes rainy; mostly expected sometimes unexpected rumblings and interpretations; mostly welcome but sometimes not. Will try to type down these or rather envelope this in a 'readable' format here. ;) Thats finally my Blog Name. I might change it in the future depending on where it heads, hope the option is there. There always is...

And of course, comments and bouquets are welcome but brickbats are also part of life.

So lets explore the sky, but it starts here... :)
